Review-Great & Small Keepsake Bible

It's spring and maybe you haven't noticed but this is the time of year when the wedding shower and baby shower invitations start filling up the mailbox. I'm a firm believer in sticking to the registry (they make it for a reason after all) when buying for these occasions but I do like to include something a little personal. So while I'm all for getting you the six pack of pacifiers in pink rose or the set of organic baby bibs with hipster sayings, today I'm sharing my latest find that will make any Mama-to-be swoon.

Review-Baby Lit Storybook Collection

Hello readers! It's Audrey and I'm here to tell you all about a new collection of books that I'm super duper excited about. Remember the Baby Lit Book Collection of primers I told you about a long time ago? Well, over the years me and my brother's collection has gotten pretty big (thanks mom) and we love them!  We have everything from Little Woman to the Odyssey and now that I'm older I get to help read them to my brother. The other day an Amazon box arrived at the house and I knew since it was my Mom who ordered it that it was either books or diapers. Since it didn't look like diapers I guessed books and I was right!

Review-Everyone A Child Should Know

As the mom of a kindergartner, last summer I joined countless other moms out there in googling "Everything your child needs to know before starting kindergarten". Like most Internet searches relating to your children upbringing, I was met with government standards, state standards, county standards, people's professional opinion, people's unprofessional opinion and conspiracy theories. After slamming down my laptop lid, I got up to reheat my coffee for the umpteenth time that morning. I then looked at my daughter who was playing outside on the porch with her little brother, completely content in her little world and thought to myself "What does she REALLY need"

Review-Dad, Does God Exist? By Charlie H. Campbell

Hi everyone, it's Audrey and I want to tell you about the latest book my Gigi bought me! It's Dad, Does God Exist by Charlie H. Campbell. I have heard my mom and Gigi talk about Charlie before and how he has a ton of amazing Cd's, DVDs and books on Apologetics. I didn't exactly know what apologetics was and honestly I'm still a little confused but Mom explained that this book was a good starting point for a curious kid (a five year old kid to be precise) like myself. Dad, Does God Exist, opens with Sarah being told by a classmate that God isn't real! I know God is real but I was surprised when my mom told me that not everyone believes that! We started talking about how I would probably meet other kids that don't believe in God too and what I should do if they tell me He isn't real.

Review-God Made All of Me by Justin and Lindsey Holcomb

As a Mom, I'm amazed and horrified at how many of my peers have personally dealt with sexual abuse at the hands of family members, family friends or neighbors. Shame and body insecurities along with negative views of sex and marriage are permanent scars that they now bear. Naturally, as parents, whether you suffered this personally or not, we want to protect our children and one of the best ways to do this is by educating them.

Review-The One Year Devotions for Preschoolers

Hello everyone, it's Audrey and I want to tell you about a book I just got that I think you will love! It's my One Year Devotions for Preschoolers. This devotion has a story, verse and prayer for each day that's short and easy for me to enjoy and understand. It's like my Moms One Year Bible (LINK THIS TOO) only not so big and there are pictures! We read it every day, sometimes in the morning AND the evening before bed. I have been telling my friends all about it but Mom figured we should let the parents know too.

Review-Golly's Folly by Eleazar and Rebekah Ruiz

Hi everyone, Audrey here. Lately I have been super busy with preschool, baking lessons with Mom and gymnastics practice but I have still managed to carve out time to curl up with a good book. That's why I'm here today, to tell you about my latest read…Golly's Folly…the prince who wanted it all, by Eleazar and Rebekah Ruiz. First of all, I love a book with good pictures and illustrator Rommel Ruiz did a wonderful job. But pictures aren't everything and Mom always says not to judge a book by its cover, so lets talk about what's on the inside.

Review-My First Hands On Bible for Kids

Hey everyone it's Audrey! Something my mommy has been telling me since I can remember is how important it is to read my Bible and pray every single day. I love reading my Bible. My first Bible was the Tiny Bear Bible. It was fuzzy and the pages full of colorful pictures and rhymes. My little brother and I have matching Tiny Bear Bibles, mine is pink (my favorite color) and his is blue. I love reading it to him, but the older I got the more I wanted something a little more meaty, as my mommy says.

Review-The Baby Lit Collection

Hi everyone, it's Audrey. Ever since I was able to pull myself up to standing I have been fascinated with all my Mom's books. She has quite the collection you know, but even, so it's nothing compared to my GiGi's collection. I loved pulling them off the shelf and studying the covers, I could  tell they were chalked full of interesting things. Don't get me wrong, I like my own books, they are super colorful and I like reading about Pokey Puppies and Little Bears but sometimes you want something a with little more meat, something to challenge you and teach you something new. Something for the baby/toddler/preschooler with the more refined pallet, like myself. That's why today I'm telling you about my favorite primers….
